……

"Where has the support gone?"

“Here it is, sir,” the colonel said, pointing up at the top.

"Why is it so slow... It shouldn't be like this..."

"Well, it's like this. Because of the streets, although the mixed infantry and mech assault teams can get through this area, the assault guns and infantry fighting vehicles have to take a wider route. And we just discovered that many streets have been covered with obstacles by the US military, which the assault guns and armored vehicles can't run over and have to be cleared with artillery fire. There are also some anti-personnel and anti-armor mines, and we're doing our best to speed things up for them."

"what……"

……

……

"Sir! News from the eastern outpost! Unidentified fighter jets are flying in from the east!"

"How many exactly! Give me the exact number!"

"There's only one, and it's a relatively small propeller plane!"

"Only...one?"

……

……

……

Caronville suddenly became interested, because the plane on the electronic map didn't seem to be interested in the streets on the east side of the city, but instead flew recklessly towards the south of the city.

"Observer! What is the target aircraft's altitude?"

"Report! Two thousand meters altitude! Outside the effective firing range of the camp's turrets!"

"Hmm? This direction? Isn't this where the Avit Squadron was engaged in combat with the American forces?"

"Could this plane be trying to help the Americans?" Carrie muttered to himself.

"Sir! The target's altitude is decreasing! The eastern outpost is about to lose tracking!"

"Then... connect Lancer Squadron and Wilson Squadron!"

……

"What are your orders, sir?" On a street in the south of the city, a Gloucester and a Sunderland were leading a group of tanks and infantrymen forward into the distance.

"Lieutenant Wilson! An enemy aircraft is approaching from your northeast!"

"Do you mean you want me to shoot it down?"

"Listen to my orders. Captain Lancer will now take over command. You two find a high spot and keep an eye on that plane!"

"Yes, sir." Wilson, with a look of disgust, tossed out a grappling hook and dragged the mecha onto the roof of a relatively intact building nearby.

……

……

"Sir! I can't just stay here like this! Do you think I'm a gatekeeper?!"

"Just a few minutes' delay, and you'll be able to break away from the group and work on your own!"

……

……

"Well, this is what I'm thinking, sir. If we continue along the original route, we might not make it in time. So, I'm planning to take a 'dangerous route.'" The pilot looked towards the railway bridge to the southeast.

"Have you gone mad again?" Colonel Kari's rebuke came through the radio. "The lieutenant colonel should have told you that the bridge might be bombed, and once you step into the trap, you won't be able to get back!"

"Don't worry, Colonel, I have a plan..."

……

……

"Lieutenant Colonel, just received news that those two knights who have been paralyzed for half the day are ready to go into battle."

Chapter 23, Section 37: The Colosseum

The gaze shifts back to southern Berlin, where Jonathan walks in front of a group of soldiers in green uniforms in a street filled with gunfire.

"Watch your surroundings! Be careful of the windows! If anything happens, notify everyone immediately!"

……

"Calling Sergeant Dilt, how are you all doing!"

"Mind your own business. We've already driven those brats away. Hey! Bulldog Number One! You can move on!"

"Okay." The sergeant put down the walkie-talkie, seemingly no longer afraid.

"Sergeant?" a young man behind him greeted him quietly. "Are only the guys from the church left?"

"Probably. The others either all came back safe and sound, or they're all dead..."

"Hey!" Suddenly, a soldier standing alongside Jonathan at the front raised his hand, signaling everyone to stop.

……

……

The streets seemed to quiet down instantly. But why was there an unsettling melody mingling with the distant gunfire...?

Jonathan quietly whistled, signaling everyone to slowly move into the house.

The soldiers nervously picked up their guns, faced the direction from which the strange noise came, and retreated with their legs alternating from side to side.

Just as they reached the side of the street, a rather unfamiliar black armored vehicle, like a black panther, rushed out from under a roof, its machine gun on top of it like an eagle just awakened, decisively and fiercely eyeing its green prey.

"Take cover!" Thick machine gun shells, mixed with some blood, dust, and fear spread like a flood.

……

"Sergeant!" Jonathan grabbed the walkie-talkie. "I don't recall you telling me they had armored vehicles too!"

……

"Sergeant! Can you hear me?!"

……

……

……

"Cough...cough cough cough!" Whew, after waiting for so long, finally some movement! "Can you hear me?!"

"Are you alright, sir? What happened?!"

"Ah... damn it..." On the other end of the radio, the terrifying sound of a barrage of bullets falling around them could be clearly heard. "Looks like they've set us up; we're pinned down now!"

"Tch, us too!"

"Don't panic, child! We'll be out of here soon!"

"You can get out, but I can't!" The sergeant's voice changed with urgency. "There's a wheeled dog with a machine gun chasing us and biting us! Where are your bazookas?! If you don't hurry, we're all doomed!"

"What!" The sergeant gasped. "Damn it! I should have sent those two lads with you!"

"Are you fucking trying to kill us?! My dear Sergeant Daddy!" Jonathan had completely lost it now. "Wasn't Jacob tricked into ending up on a stretcher by you?! And now I'm the second one, huh?!"

"Fuck you, calm down!" Sergeant Dilt looked like he was about to go crazy too. "Hold on for a few more minutes! Sergeant! Bazooka's coming right away!"

"Come on, you son of a bitch! You want me to wait for you to have a smoke?!"

……

"Hello, hello, hello!" Suddenly, another voice came through the radio, startling the two sergeants.

"This is Bulldog Number One! Are you two here to have a shouting contest?"

"Don't talk back, Mr. Harry!"

"Let me say something, you two! If one of you can't get out of your bazooka and the other is pinned down and can't escape, then my crew has an idea that I can share with you."

"What are you trying to do? You're not driving a tank, so we can't protect your flanks!"

“Sergeant Campbell!” Mr. Harry ignored Dilt’s advice. “Tell me, can you now distract that armored vehicle and make it lose its attention from the street you just walked down?”

"How do I attract it? Should I tie a bone behind my butt to it and tease it?"

"Trust me, Sergeant! I won't force you! If you can, I guarantee half of you will survive! Make a decision quickly, or fewer and fewer of you will live!"

……

……

……

……

So what do you need me to do?

"Just let me know when the puppy's attention has completely left the street! The rest is up to you!"

"it is good!"

It was still the same house covered by machine gun ammunition. Jonathan and another soldier were lying on the ground floor under a broken wall, while the other young men were quietly making their way upstairs and into the basement.

“OK, Private Jimmy…” the sergeant looked at his buddy beside him. “Ready?”

"If you say it's good, then I'm good, Sergeant."

……

"Okay, I'll count to three."

Outside, the machine gun's scythe had already shaken a wisp of sand that had been torn apart onto the two men's shoulders.

At that moment, the sergeant and the private's eyes met in front of the flowing quicksand.

……

"three!--"

The two suddenly stood up and ran for their lives as if a terrifying brown bear were following them!

Outside the building, a black armored vehicle parked in the middle of the T-junction was still roaring at them.

……

……

……

……

……

……

"Okay, nobody's running anymore... Hey hey!" he suddenly yelled, "Hey! To the left! I see a little rascal!"

Through the periscope, a figure wearing a green steel helmet could be seen faintly behind a broken wall on the street.

"I saw it already!" the partner replied impatiently, the gleaming bullet chain whipping across the fat, sending up plumes of hot dust and debris wherever it passed.

Are you sure you hit him?!

……

……

The two people in the car suddenly heard a faint bell ringing from the right side of the car.

"Right!" The partner jerked and turned the joystick to the side. The machine gun camera's view was reflected on the screen. On the other side of the street, another desperado running across the street came into view.

"None of them will escape!" He pressed the fire button with all his might, and the sharp whip followed closely behind the man, stirring up pieces of flying debris. The dancing dust was like a venomous earthen snake that had smelled blood, frantically chasing its prey that was within reach.

"Damn it!" But he was just a hair's breadth away from getting into the window across the street, leaving behind an angry venomous snake that left a terrible fang mark on it as if venting its resentment.

"What do we do now?"
