Chapter 436 Ring of Power

Chapter 436 Ring of Power

"No one can escape death. In the universe, only the footsteps of death are the fastest; they can catch up with anyone."

"Even Darkseid couldn't escape death, Barry, so can you."

Teleported by Darkseid's Omega Ray to a primeval world covered in moss, Lord Lightning's mouth continuously emitted two distinctly different voices.

One voice was that of a black runner, and the other was that of Lord Lightning Barry: "The Earth needs me, I must go back as soon as possible."

"Black runner, stop trying to sway me with your words, because I am a man who has died once."

Your threats and inducements have no effect on me.

After saying that, Lord Lightning's expression changed, and his tone became sinister. He muttered to himself, "You want to go back and help them? What can you do to help them?"

"To alter the timeline and watch those who were supposed to die die again?"

"Is this the hero you call yourself?"

Snapped!

Lord Lightning slapped himself hard across the face, roaring, "Shut up!"

After he and the Black Runner were transported to this mossy world by the Omega Rays, they became one.

Before that, many superheroes had fallen on Earth, and now Barry doesn't even know how many more of his fellow superheroes who fought alongside him have died.

"If it doesn't work the first time, try again, a thousand times, ten thousand times!"

"I believe that one day I will find the perfect timeline, a world where everyone wins and survives!"

His head suddenly turned to one side, his expression turning sinister once more: "If you are willing to become my host and merge with me, I can promise to let them all live."

"But the price is that you must become a traveler of death."

"You will never see your former companions again; you will forever wander the universe, reaping the souls of the dead."

"Otherwise I will catch up with you, and you will never be able to resurrect everyone."

Lord Lightning Barry's expression shifted. He hesitated for a few seconds, then made up his mind: "Tell me what to do?"

The black runner seemed pleased with Lord Lightning's pragmatic approach: "Although I am death, I do not possess the ability to resurrect others—"

Before the lord could retort, the black-clad runner continued, "But if you can get your hands on what the 'Master Watcher' holds, I can help you accomplish everything."

Lord Lightning stopped arguing and nodded emphatically.

Gotham, the narrow alley.

Bruce, the former lord of bats and now the god of knowledge, sits suspended in the air on the blue and white shining Möbius Chair, silently watching everything that is happening below.

In a narrow alley, a young couple with their child were heading home after watching a movie.

An armed robber stopped the family: "Stop! Hand over all your valuables!"

The young couple froze, instinctively shielding the young boy behind them.

"Hurry up!" the robber shouted impatiently.

"Okay, okay—we can give you everything, sir," Thomas Wayne said cautiously, afraid of startling the already loaded robber. "Don't be impulsive, sir. Look, I've taken out my wallet."

Martha Wayne also handed her handbag forward.

"Put it on the ground!" the robber yelled, staring at Martha Wayne's neck. "Take that necklace off too!"

Martha Wayne did as she was told, and she took off her necklace.

Behind them, young Bruce Wayne stared in terror at the armed robbers.

boom!

Before Martha Wayne's necklace could even be placed on the ground, a bullet from the robber was already fired, piercing Martha's heart.

"No, Mom!" Bruce cried out in terror.

Thomas Wayne instinctively steadied his wife, who had lost her balance, and glared at the gunman. He had barely uttered a syllable when he too was shot.

The robbers picked up the jewelry and wallet from the ground and hurriedly left, leaving only a desperate little boy howling in pain in the narrow alley.

All of this was observed by Bruce Wayne, the god of knowledge.

Before young Bruce could find him, the god of knowledge vanished in a flash of blue light.

"Do you know why I had to go there in person and see that nightmarish scene again?"

"The god of knowledge, Bruce, muttered to himself."

The Möbius Chair beneath him was silent, but Bruce continued, "I can feel that from the moment I sat down, I became an all-knowing and all-powerful god."

"But until then, I will never forget that I am Bruce."

"I am Batman!"

Amidst flashes of blue and white light, he arrived on Earth in the normal timeline. At that moment, Barry, the God of Death who had transformed into the Dark Walker, was reaching out a hand to take the blue orb of light from Connors' hand.

"Barry!" Bruce shouted, "Stop!"

The god of death, Barry, looked at the suddenly appearing god of knowledge, Bruce, and reached out his hand to Connors without the slightest hesitation.

Connors then put his hands behind his back and looked at the God of Knowledge who was stopping Barry with a puzzled expression.

He was merely extremely powerful, not omniscient or omnipotent. Everything that was happening at this moment was completely different from the comics, and Connors had no idea what would happen after Barry obtained the positive and negative life equations.

But since Bruce, the god of knowledge, came to stop it, he must have had his reasons.

Even though this guy's gray bat suit had been transformed into a flashy blue and white patterned suit covering his entire body, and he sat imposingly on the Möbius Chair, Connors still chose to believe in this man.

"Why are you stopping me, Batman?"

Barry watched as Connors put his hands behind his back, then turned and glared at Bruce, demanding an answer.

Connors also looked at Bruce with curiosity.

"You will die because of this, Barry," the God of Knowledge replied. "Even if you are ready to make a deal with the Black Runners, I don't want to see you die."

Barry shook his head. He had already made up his mind that he didn't care if he died as long as he could save everyone.

"Bruce Connors."

He addressed the two men solemnly, his voice unusually calm and collected, a departure from his usual playful tone. He uttered the words that Swift, from the Justice Association, had once uttered in Seaside City: "If I have already died once to save the world, then I can die again for it!"

Barry took a step forward, intending to snatch the blue orb of light from Connors's hand.

But his actions seemed to have been anticipated by Bruce, the god of knowledge. The man sitting in the chair did not say a word, but simply took out a green ring from his battle armor and put it on his hand without hesitation.

That was the ring of the divine power ring that perished during the Eternal Evil event.

After being intercepted by Lex Luthor, it somehow ended up in Bruce's hands.

"The idiot's life is sealed."

"Bruce Wayne from Earth, you have the cowardly will to be haunted by a nightmare for the rest of your life."

"Welcome to the fucking Power Ring Legion."
