Chapter 386 Blood Curse

Chapter 386 Blood Curse

In the bar owned by Black Canary Dina, in a corner booth.

"Although I've heard some of these things before, the feeling of hearing them firsthand from the person involved is completely different."

Black Canary rested her chin on one hand, looking at Connors with great interest.

Unlike her, Zatanna, who had already been intimate with Connors, was more interested in listening to Connors's stories to see if there was anything she could do to help.

Lord Lightning Barry sat beside Connors, watching as Connors was entangled with two women recounting his experiences, leaving him no chance to speak.

He drank alone, head down.

After Connors finished recounting his encounter with Supergirl Kara in that red sun galaxy and his experiences with Lucy, a girl from that planet, Barry took his leave.

Connors could tell that Lord Lightning Barry was a little down, so as a friend, he quickly said:

"Barry, when Hal comes back, I'll definitely invite you and Hal to find a place where we drink until we drop."

Lord Lightning Barry then beamed with joy and gave Connors a high five:

"You said it, you can't go back on your word?"

Connors nodded with a smile.

Connors had already established a good relationship with Barry during the final battle between General Zod and Superman in Metropolis in Earth-3, and their friendship deepened further in Seaside City, where the Justice Society was located.

To be honest, Barry and Hal had a closer relationship with Connors than any other member of the Righteous Lords.

Connors got up and saw Barry out, watching him transform into golden lightning and disappear on the road toward the city center before returning to his seat.

"I've said enough about my business, it's your turn," Connors said to Black Canary.

At a square table, Zatanna and Black Canary sat opposite Connors, both of them staring at a screen in the bar.

The screen was showing one of Zatanna's stage performances.

"I doubt anyone would guess that the world's most powerful magician has always been a stage performer," Black Canary joked.

"Of course, I am a people's artist and a stage magician," Zatanna said half-jokingly.

Upon seeing Connors return, their smiles remained unchanged, and Zatanna said:

"But compared to me, he's more like a magician, always able to do things that are unexpected."

After the three of them joked and chatted for a while, Zatanna asked:

"Dina, you still haven't told me why you specifically asked me to come and help you with something. What is it?"

Connors also perked up his ears. He had just returned to Earth 3 and was not yet aware of what had happened to Black Canary. However, he sensed, through his instincts as a gossipmonger, that there was more excitement to be had.

The black canary took a pendant from the chest of her black vest and placed it on the table:

"Could you take a look and see if there's anything special about this thing?"

The pendant was engraved with patterns of unknown meaning, which Connors could not understand.

His most proficient chaos magic and Vishanti white magic both came from Marvel. He can use them in DC, but it's impossible to tell what the symbols on the pendant represent.

Zatanna picked up the pendant and examined it closely:

"I've seen this before."

Connors and Black Canary immediately listened attentively, waiting for Zatanna to reveal some secrets of the magical world.

Seeing her two friends looking like this, Zatanna couldn't help but laugh:

"You've got it wrong. The last time I saw this was in a shop that specializes in girls' accessories. It's just a small gothic-style decoration."

"Then what is its function?" the black canary pressed.

"It has similar effects to a four-leaf clover picked from the wild," Zatanna said.

Black Canary breathed a sigh of relief, then ripped off the black jacket she was wearing over her vest.

The sleeveless vest left Black Canary's arms completely exposed to the air, which, under the bar lights, resembled warm, smooth jade.

Connors stared intently at Black Canary's arm, or more precisely, at the pattern on the inside of her forearm.

"And this one?" the black canary asked.

Zatana glanced at it sideways, then immediately sat up straight:

"Compared to the pendant, this one has some tricks up its sleeve. If the user is skilled enough, it can indeed ward off some curses."

Realizing that this was the reason the black canary had called her here, she quickly asked:

"Dina, what happened?"

The black canary rested its heavy breasts on the table and stretched out its patterned arms in front of Zatanna, allowing her to examine them closely, while explaining:

"This was during an undercover mission I carried out last year. The mastermind made me prick my finger, mix my blood with the blood, and recite a few lines of a pledge of loyalty."

Zatanna gave Black Canary a knowing look and continued.

"—It's about being united as one, swearing an oath in blood or something," said the black canary.

Zatanna was about to stand up like a cat with its fur standing on end, but Black Canary was quick enough to pull her back.

"Is there something wrong with the pattern?" the black canary asked.

"There's a problem, and a big problem! That person has cast a blood curse on you!" Zatanna said with a serious expression.

The black canary was startled by Zatanna's serious expression and quickly asked:

"What? Can you break this blood curse?"

"That's difficult. Did you accept the blood curse voluntarily?" Zatanna asked.

The black canary found it hard to believe:

"Back then, in order to successfully infiltrate Las Vegas as an undercover agent, I disguised myself as a non-existent person. Does that count?"

Zatanna breathed a sigh of relief:

"It will definitely help a bit, but you're still easily affected by this. I need to find another expert to discuss it before deciding how to help you."

As the only magician on Earth III, Zatanna could not find anyone proficient in magic here.

However, Earth 3 and Earth 0 had already left a portal during the Lords event, allowing the superheroes from both sides to provide support to the other world at any time.

Zatanna from Earth 3 and Zatanna from Earth 0 already knew each other. At this moment, she was on her way to find her other self to solve the blood curse problem of Black Canary.

"No need, I happen to know some knowledge about blood curses."

Just as Zatanna was about to leave, Connors spoke.

"What? You—" Zatanna looked at Connors, knowing that her friend had learned some magic from her.

But even she didn't fully know the knowledge of the Blood Curse, so how did Connors know it?

Zatanna looked at Connors with curiosity. Based on her understanding of him, Connors never did anything without certainty; if he spoke, he was sure he was confident.

With this in mind, Zatanna quickly pleaded on behalf of the black canary:

"Connors, help Dina with this problem, for my sake."

While there is indeed no knowledge of blood curses in Chaos Magic and Vishanti White Magic, Connors has deciphered the knowledge of more than just those two magicians; there is another person whom Connors often overlooks.

Morgan le Fay, a medieval witch.

Connors also learned a lot of magic from her, but none of it had any practical use for him. Unexpectedly, it came in handy now.
