Chapter 382 Lord's Green Light
The black smoke warhorse changed size along with Connors's size. At this moment, it was several times larger than the largest elephant on Earth, and it did not seem cumbersome at all in carrying Connors, who was over ten meters tall, on its back.
Sangokuma fled in front, and Connors chased after him. In the blink of an eye, the two had already traveled an unknown distance in the universe.
Sangu Mako was alright; he simply led the raven to the worlds that needed to be conquered. However, Connors, who came after him, seemed more like a villain at this point.
Even in the airless universe, black smoke still rose, and planets along the way were trampled and exploded by the horses' hooves, while stars became consumables for Connors' "Tamaran Physiology".
The black smoke warhorse charged tirelessly toward the Tri-Palace. Even though Connors consciously avoided planets with life, some planets still suffered as a result. On Earth 3, at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, the "Lord Green Lantern" who was involved in the resurrection of "Lord Aquaman" in Atlantis received an alarm from the Lantern Ring.
Hal Jordan didn't even have time to say goodbye to his companions, before he vanished into space.
"The stars are collectively exhibiting anomalies, seemingly being devoured. Is it an 'Anti-Monitor'? Or some other kind of monster?"
While Lord Green Lantern Hal was contemplating, his flight speed had already reached its limit, so much so that if anyone could see it, they would have noticed a green light extending from Earth III and disappearing straight into the depths of space.
Like a sharp sword, with Lord Green Lantern Hal himself at the tip, ripples of space spread out behind him in the desolate space and then disappeared.
Connors was still chasing Sannomiya, and just as he was about to absorb the power of an entire star again to capture Sannomiya, a voice that shouldn't have been in space rang in his ears:
"Stop right there!"
Connors recognized the voice immediately. He stopped and looked at "Lord Green Light":
"Why are you here?"
"It's you?" Hal felt like he had come up empty-handed. The person in front of him was not some anti-monitor or vicious monster, but one of his friends, "Monitor" Connors.
"If I hadn't come, you might have become the universe's most wanted criminal," Hal said.
Connors was baffled. He pointed to Sannomiya, who had already disappeared into the depths of space:
"He's the wanted criminal, I'm the one chasing him."
"But what you just did is very serious. Do you know how many stars have disappeared because of your pursuit? Thirteen hundred!" Hal looked very serious.
Connors was even more confused:
"HAL, take a picture of the universe at random, and zoom in on even a square centimeter of that space. There are hundreds of billions of stars in it. Why would you care about a thousand or so?"
Hal felt that unless he explained it clearly, his partner still wouldn't understand what the problem was with doing this:
"You make a good point, but if we let you continue down this path, the entire Milky Way might be ripped open by your actions. That would be a real catastrophe. The galaxies would have to change their orbits again, and tens of millions of planets with life would be doomed."
Connors nodded; he understood why Hal was so serious, but compared to that question, Sannomiya taking the raven was equally important.
"I can't chat with you any longer, I have to keep chasing my prey."
"What prey?" Hal asked. "Since I'm already here, why not tell me? I'm Green Lantern, after all."
"The Three Palaces Demon," Connors said.
Hal clearly knew who Sannomiya was; he almost jumped up in space.
"You're treating Sannomiya like prey? Dude, are you sure?"
"no."
"When I first met you, you were a weakling who needed a plan to even defeat the Injustice Society," Hal said. "Well, now that the greatest green light has arrived, I'll work with you."
"Aren't you going back to resurrect Aquaman Arthur?"
"Fighting in space is the Green Light's job," Hal said matter-of-factly.
"Sannomiya has already gone far ahead. I'm going to speed up now, I hope you can catch up." Connors flicked the reins of his black-smoked warhorse.
Leaving a trail of billowing black smoke in space, "Lord Green Lantern" was not to be outdone; he conjured a fighter jet and gave chase.
The green and black stars moved at roughly the same speed, and with Hal supervising, Connors couldn't absorb the stars at will. Fortunately, he had another ability:
Light energy manipulation.
[Light energy manipulation: It can do everything related to 'light,' including but not limited to adjusting the spectrum, projecting energy, flying using light waves, moving at the speed of light, creating holographic images, controlling force fields, and materializing light energy.]
"If I absorbed just a tiny bit of the power from every star in the entire galaxy and concentrated it all within myself, Hal shouldn't be able to detect it?"
Connors acted on his idea immediately, using "light manipulation" in conjunction with "precision manipulation" to swiftly plunder all the stars in the Milky Way.
With this power boosting his speed, Connors grew faster and faster, finally reaching a peak where he suddenly accelerated, leaving Hal, who was already flying at full speed, behind.
While Hal was still in the chase, Connors had already blocked Sannomiya's path.
"You actually managed to catch up? I thought you were stuck with the green light." Sannomiya looked at Connors in surprise.
"Put down the raven." Connors wasn't going to waste any more words with him.
"She is my daughter. It is her duty to fight for me in the universe. Who do you think you are? How dare you interfere in the affairs between my daughter and me?" Sannomiya threw the raven aside and assumed a full-scale attack stance.
"Then don't blame me for not holding back, Father-in-law," Connors said.
At this moment, the "Lord's Green Light" finally caught up, and Hal shouted:
"Connors, how did you manage to accelerate so suddenly?"
"I'll tell you later, Hal. Right now, protect the raven and the surrounding cosmic environment for me. I'm going to go all out," Connors said.
"Protecting women? I'm much better at fighting than that. Leave it to me!"
Hal saw that Sannomiya showed no fear and ignored Connors's orders, charging straight forward.
The brute Connors looked at Hal helplessly, and seeing that he was more interested in fighting, he had no choice but to step aside and put the raven into the Mysterious House.
Then Connors released the "biofield" to protect the space within a radius of tens of thousands of meters, leaving HAL enough battlefield to perform.
Sangu Demon sneered, and with black flames burning in one hand, he reached out to grab Hal Jordan.
"What a big slap!" Hal darted to the side, his green light ring gleaming on his hand.
As the green light burst forth, a green mech began to assemble with a clattering sound. Hal sat firmly in the pilot's seat, no longer dodging, but instead charging towards Sannomiya.
