"There aren't that many details—"
The "White Queen" wiped her mouth somewhat guiltily, not daring to look Nina in the eye.

If he does nothing, the misfortune of just one "curse" would be enough to kill the "dominoes" favored by Lady Luck.

Nina was still in shock. Connors picked her up and she wrapped her arms around his neck, showing no intention of getting down.
