Chapter 295 I'll Give Up If You Move Even One Bit

Chapter 295 I'll surrender if you move even a little

Connors opened the "Explosion Channel" and came to the side of the young man wearing red glasses. He was stunned for a moment after hearing what the other man said.

However, he reacted very quickly. Since the other party believed that he was a so-called "newly recruited mutant," he simply went along with it.

Connors immediately used his newly acquired ability, "Illusion," to make the bespectacled man "see" what he believed to be the truth:

"That's right, all three of us are—by the way, I've only received an invitation, but I know nothing about your organization. Could you tell me about it?"

"My name is Scott Summers, you can call me 'Laser Eye'," the young man with red glasses introduced himself.

He pointed to the towering, motionless "Celestial Group" nearby:

"Look at this sleeping god and ponder its true nature. Some say it is the creator of life, while others say it is the embodiment of the judge."

"But we all know that, in some ways, we all live in its shadow."

Connors looked up at the "Celestials" whose upper bodies seemed to reach into the clouds:

"That sounds like you're saying, 'We had absolutely no idea what this big golden thing was.'"

"Laser Eyes" Scott gave an awkward laugh:

"Our founding purpose is related to it, although we don't actually know what it is right now, we just refer to it as 'God'."

The two Amazonian princesses were also looking up at the enormous "Celestial Group," their eyes filled with curiosity. Just as they were about to speak, a voice suddenly came from beside them:

"They didn't really know what it was, but thankfully the 'ominous sign' did."

Connors and Diana turned around and saw that the speaker was a man with cement-colored skin, a red diamond-shaped mark on his forehead, wearing a black tuxedo and a blood-red tie.

"Mr. Ominous," the immortal chimeric mutant Connors, remained expressionless, feigning ignorance as he asked:

"What is it?"

"What is it?" "Mr. Ominous" countered Connors's question. "It's what 'Ominous' hopes it is."

Connors: "You'd be better off sitting at the same table as the 'Riddler'."

"The Riddler has gone mad long ago," the "Lord of the Heroines" from Earth-3 whispered a reminder.

"Who is the 'Riddler'?" Wonder Woman from Earth Zero asked, bewildered.

"The Riddler? Sounds like an Epsilon-class mutant," Scott thought, pressing his temple.

"What is an Epsilon-class mutant?" Wonder Woman remained bewildered.

Connors felt his head was about to explode, so he quickly interrupted the endless questions from these people and said to "Laser Eyes":

"Wait, shouldn't we head to your base and rendezvous with the others?"

"Laser Eyes" nodded, no longer dwelling on the question of who "Riddler" was, and instead led Connors and the other two toward a tall building not far away:

"This is Krakoa Island, a nation that belongs only to mutants. Here, you don't need to worry about your abilities being exposed."

"Before I take you to meet the other partners, I need to conduct an ability test on you so that we can know what level of mutant you are, and thus assign you responsibilities according to your abilities."

Wonder Woman was completely confused, and she whispered to Connors:

What exactly is this mutant level?

1

Connors explained:

"It's a classification from level one to level five, from lowest to highest: Ypsilon, Delta, Beta, Alpha, and Omega. It sounds complicated, but it's really just using Greek letters to replace the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth names."

Upon hearing this, "Cyclops" Scott, who was walking in front, turned around and looked over:

"You seem to know a lot about mutants?"

"It's alright," Connors said modestly.

All he knew about "mutants" were names like "Storm," "White Queen," "Psylocke," "Shadowcat," "Rakshasa," and "Mystique."

As for the male mutants, Connors could at most name them and knew their individual abilities, but he knew nothing more.

"Ever since Scarlet Witch Wanda said those words, the number of mutants in the world has plummeted to less than two hundred. We urgently need to recruit those of our kind who are still hidden among humans and unknown to the world."

"Cyclops" Scott said:

"Even if you have some knowledge about mutants, I still need to introduce them again."

"This is utopia, a kingdom belonging only to mutants. Here, there are three laws: those who kill humans shall die, and more mutants shall be created."

And to obey the rulings of the Silent Council.

Is this the timeline after Scarlet Witch Wanda said "There are no more mutants in the world"? — Connors glanced at Wanda in the Mystery House and wondered to himself.

"We've arrived at the test area. Come on, show me your abilities."

As they were talking, "Laser Eyes" led Connors and the other two to an open space that looked like an open-air football field, surrounded by tall metal walls.

"Ladies first," Cyclops said, extending his hand to the two Dianas and gesturing for them to proceed.

"Isn't Mr. Ominous in cahoots with Cyclops? They appeared one after the other just now, and I thought they were teaming up."

Connors glanced at the two Dianas who were moving at bullet-like speed, then looked back at the "Mr. Ominous" at the feet of the "Celestials" in the distance.

He just cast an illusion on "Laser Eyes" so that he didn't see "Mr. Ominous" arrive.

At this moment, "Mr. Ominous Sign" stood there, raised a cane that emitted a dim purple light, and his body actually merged into "Celestial Group".

Rumble!

The two Dianas wreaked havoc on the testing grounds like bulldozers, while Cyclops nodded in satisfaction.

"His speed, strength, reaction time, and combat skills are all top-notch, and he can be temporarily classified as a Beta-level mutant."

"Only a Level 3 mutant?" Connors was taken aback. "Wonder Woman" was one of the Big Three on Earth Zero, and she's become a little Karami here?

The assessment of "Cyclops" was naturally heard by Diana, who had a keen sense of hearing. Their eyebrows shot up, and the competitive spirit of Amazonian warriors was instantly ignited.

Before "Laser Eyes" could say anything more, "Lady Lord" pulled out her Vulcan Greatsword, raised it high above her head, and slashed it down at the ground.

A dull thud, accompanied by screams from other mutants nearby, followed as "Lord Woman" cleaved a massive fissure in the ground.

She raised an eyebrow at "Laser Eyes," only to find that he remained unmoved.

Alpha-class mutants are extremely skilled in combat; they can destroy a large number of buildings in a short time or plunge a country into chaos in a short period of time. Clearly, the strength you have demonstrated so far is not that great.

"Oh? What level of mutant are you?" Wonder Woman asked.

Although she and "Lady of the Hill" clashed verbally in the zombie universe, they resolutely stood on the same side when faced with doubts from outsiders.

"I am an Alpha-class," "Laser Eyes" said honestly. "My eyes are connected to another dimension and can emit almost an infinite number of rays, capable of destroying an entire city in a very short time."

But both Dianas' shields should be able to block it, after all, they did block Doomsday's heat vision head-on in the comics. Connors smiled at Cyclops:

"Then fire energy at me at maximum power and see if you can repel me. I'll admit defeat if you make a single move."
