Chapter 285 The Hidden Dangers of Charm

"I'll contact you again after this is over."

"Lady of the House" said to Connors with a hint of anger in her eyes, then pressed the button at the rear of the engine compartment to open it and jumped from a height of thousands of meters.

The "Lords of Justice" split into two groups: "Lord Bat," "Lord Hunter," "Lord Lightning," and the demon Itrigan went to Henry Moss.

The remaining five, including "Lord Woman," "Lord Superman," "Lord Green Lantern," "Lord Hawkgirl," and Connors, flew straight to Haf Hikman's location in their fighter jets.

With the "Lord Bat" absent, the fighter jet was handed over to Alfred of Earth Zero for remote control, and it was hovering in mid-air with a low rumble.

Five people flew out of the plane one by one, and below them was a not-too-large manor, which seemed to be hosting a party.

A large group of scantily clad young women frolicked in the pool at the estate, while waiters came and went, carrying champagne and moving around the wealthy men by the pool.

"There seem to be quite a few people. If we barge in rashly, it might cause chaos among them, giving Morgan Leffy an opportunity to take advantage."

"Lord Green Lantern" said, the green lantern ring on his hand glowing, as if he was about to create something.

"Let's disguise ourselves and blend in; that way we won't bother anyone else," the "Lord's Heroine" suggested.

"Lord Superman" was clearly too lazy to think. He simply flew beside Connors, nodded, and then turned and headed straight for Metropolis.

The patterns on "Lord Green Lantern's" battle suit flashed, then the green suit gradually disappeared, replaced by a shirt.

A combination of denim and a bomber jacket.

The "Lord's Woman" untied the Mantra Lasso from her waist and threw it into the air, where it automatically spun into a golden halo resembling a "dimensional gate".

The beam of light passed through "Lady of the House" Diana, transforming her battle armor into a women's suit and her lower body armor into a bodycon skirt.

Connors glanced at her and noticed that Diana was even wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, making her look like a university professor at first glance.

"Do you remember when you told me to read more books in Boston? I've earned three doctorates while you were away."

"The Lady of the Lords" said with an indifferent attitude.

Connors quickly offered his flattery:

"Awesome."

"Lord Superman" went to Metropolis and came back, his battle suit now replaced with a common plaid shirt, and he was also wearing a pair of slightly old-fashioned glasses.

Of those present, only Connors did not need to change his clothes. His Gotham-style long trench coat was commonplace and nothing particularly special about it. However, the black smoke cape behind him vanished in a flash, making him look like an ordinary person.

"My wings can't be retracted, so it seems I'll have to stay outside and wait for your good news."

"Lord Eagle Girl" said with some regret.

"Don't worry, we'll try our best to minimize your waiting time," Connors reassured him.

There were security guards at the entrance of Haf Hikman's manor, but the four members of this group, except for "Lord Eagle Girl," each had their own methods to bypass the security and sneak into the manor, as if they were invited guests.

Things should have gone smoothly, but the moment they appeared together by the pool, more and more people's eyes turned to them.

"Could they have recognized us?" Lord Greenlight frowned, waving to a busty woman in the pool.

But the voluptuous beauty ignored him, instead staring intently at the person beside him, Connors. "Their gaze isn't on us, but—" "Lord Superman" looked at Connors strangely, "but on him. Why do I feel like this guy is getting more and more charming?"

"Lady of the Lords" looked at Connors with suspicion, then at the guys by the pool.

Almost everyone's eyes were focused on Connors. The young women's eyes were filled with desire to spend the night with him, while the wealthy tycoons looked at Connors with admiration, as if he were some kind of promising young entrepreneur.

Connors was so embarrassed he wanted to scratch his toes. It seemed better to keep his newly acquired "charm" ability off most of the time.

As the "Master of Lockpicking" forcibly locked "Charm," Connors instantly transformed from his charismatic self back into an ordinary person.

The young women in the pool blinked in confusion, then looked away and continued playing in the water, while the wealthy men sitting around them continued to admire the beautiful scenery.

The three "Lords of Justice" breathed a sigh of relief; the next step was to solve the problem of "which one is Hickman?"

"Which one is Hikman?" Lord Greenlight asked in a nonchalant manner, like a thug making a meeting.

There were plenty of people like him in the manor, so he didn't attract anyone's attention.

"Lord Superman" glanced at Connors and instinctively wanted to slack off for a bit, but unexpectedly Connors also turned his gaze to him.

"Why."

"Lord Superman" Clark sighed, knowing he couldn't slack off, so he had to use his "super thinking" and "super vision" to compare everyone present with the image of Haf Hickman projected by Alfred on the plane.

But before he could finish his analysis, the "Lady of the House" took a glass of champagne from the waiter and strode towards someone:

"Hello, may I ask which of you is the owner of this estate, Haf Hickman?"

Even without her battle armor, the "Lady of the Lords" still exuded an aura of elegance. Moreover, the white shirt, women's suit, and pencil skirt she wore further enhanced her presence, leaving the person being questioned momentarily flustered.

"He, him, you."

"I am Hickman."

Before this guy could finish speaking, an old man stood up and said something.

"Your manor looks amazing. Could you show me around?" the "Lady of the Manor" said with a smile.

Haf Hickman nodded without hesitation and led the "Lord's Woman" into the manor, explaining things as they went:

"The swimming pool, home theater, gym, gambling tables, and collection room—each one of these is a recreational facility within the estate that I meticulously crafted."

Huff Hickman talked on and on, while Connors, Clark, and Hal Jordan followed closely behind "Lady of the House" Diana, like three bodyguards.

As they spoke, the group arrived at the collection room, where Haf Hickman pointed to a statue and said:

"This is one of my proudest possessions, a statue of a Greek goddess—"

The "Lady of the House" quietly turned her head and whispered to Connors:

"There's another one on Earth-3. I posed for it, and the craftsman sculpted it. I suspect the prototype for this statue is the 'Wonder Woman' you're trying to coax."
