Chapter 263 Seeking Rescue
As soon as "Watcher" Connors returned to Earth-3, all the "Lords of Justice" looked at him and laughed:
"Dude! You're finally back. How long are you planning to stay this time? I'm telling you, a new, amazing bar just opened in Gotham, you have to have a couple of drinks with me—no, I mean, drink until we drop!"
Lord Lightning Barry, taking advantage of his speed, was the first to arrive at their headquarters, the Hall of Justice, just as Connors appeared through teleportation.
Lord Lightning, who had been through the events of Metropolis, Seaside City, Atlantis, and the White Martian invasion together, showed no signs of awkwardness and affectionately put his arm around Connors' shoulder.
Connors asked curiously:
"Aren't you active in Central City? You even know about that new bar that just opened in Gotham?"
Lord Lightning nodded smugly:
"Have you forgotten my speed? If I wanted to, I could split into hundreds or even thousands of versions of myself, like a clone."
That's true. The Flash's speed can even outrun time, let alone the short distance from Central City to Gotham.
"So, have you found a girlfriend yet?" Connors remembered that before he left Earth 3, "The Flash" Barry often complained to him about not having a girlfriend.
Upon hearing this, "Lord Lightning's" previously enthusiastic face immediately fell, but he quickly perked up again:
"The owner of that bar—you know who I am! Don't try to take it from me!"
"No, no, I won't steal it," Connors replied with amusement, glancing behind "Lord Lightning."
The other six members of "The Lord of Justice" also arrived, and "Lord Bat" even hovered in the air in his Batplane, then leaped down with his cape spread out:
"Connors, you should be strong enough to deal with that guy who could destroy the world, right?"
The "Lord Bat" was always preoccupied with the threats it would face in the future.
"Pretty much, but that's not why I came here this time."
"Lord Bat" nodded, not pressing further, and waited for Connors to tell the story himself.
The "Lady of the House" arrived riding her skeletal warhorse. She leaped off the horse, galloped to Connors, bent down slightly, and lifted him up in a princess carry.
Connors: "."
Holding Connors in her arms, "Lady of the House" looked at the two little girls who were still clinging to the hem of his trench coat, dangling in mid-air:
"This is-?"
"This is 'Poison Ivy' Ivy, and the other is Earth Zero's 'Poison Ivy' Aisley," Connors introduced.
"You came here for them? 'Poison Ivy' didn't look like this when she was in Gotham," "Lord Bat" asked.
"Paradise Island might have a way to restore their bodies to their original state," said "Lady Lord."
"In my opinion, Connors should have his own way of dealing with their bodies regressing to childlike states. He probably didn't come to us for this," said "Lord Superman."
Hal Jordan, the "Lord Green Lantern," couldn't resist using his Green Lantern ring to create several dolls and other toys because the two little girls were too cute. After being rejected by Ivy and Acely, he looked at Connors in frustration.
"Lord Eagle Maiden" was eager to try, her Demon-Slaying Hammer crackling with electricity:
"Which world are we going to conquer this time?"
Connors carefully considered his words:
"Go to Earth Zero, a place shrouded in medieval magic. All adults in the world have been sent to a place called the 'Shadow Realm.'"
"I want to ask you to intervene and restore that world to its original state."
"Lord Bat" has never experienced such magical events; so far, he has only encountered aliens, such as Kryptonians and white Martians.
Either it's trouble caused by local Earthlings, like in Atlantis, or Thompson from the coastal city couldn't help but wonder:
"Does magic really exist?"
His words stunned everyone present, including Connors. "Lord Lightning" was known for his outspokenness.
"You live around speedsters, Kryptonians, Greek gods, and cosmic police—aren't they all rarer than magic?"
"Lord Bat" remained impassive, seemingly to conceal his embarrassment, he began to outline the specific plans for this operation:
"Barry, Hawkgirl, one of you is in charge of the aerial search, and the other is in charge of the ground rescue. Find those children who are still in the stronghold."
"Some of the children may be seriously ill or injured. Hal Jordan, I need you to use the Green Lantern Ring to conjure up enough medical equipment."
"Connors, after you place me near the Batcave of that world's 'Batman,' I'll handle the subsequent overall planning to ensure casualties are minimized."
"Superman, Diana, Martian Manhunter, you go ahead and get to work. I'll fly my mech to meet you."
As "Lord Bat" spoke, he kept pressing buttons, and the bat fighter hovering above his head instantly disintegrated into parts of varying sizes that fell down.
These parts are not free-falling, but each has a jet-powered levitation device. They are first disassembled and then reassembled to form a heavy suit of armor outside the "Lord Bat" suit.
"Let's not delay, let's set off."
"Lord Superman" waved his white cloak, took the first step, and bent his knees slightly as he was about to fly into the sky.
"Clark, where are you headed?"
"Lord Bat" looked at "Lord Superman" with a puzzled expression and asked.
"Go to Gotham. Don't you have a device in your Batcave that can teleport you to Earth Zero?" Lord Superman said matter-of-factly.
The "Lady of the House" sighed and pointed at Connors:
"With him here, why would we need any teleportation device?"
"Lord Superman": ".—"
Connors reached out and ruffled the heads of the two little girls beside him, then took out the Mother Box and activated the "Explosion Channel".
White rings of energy instantly spread out, forming a channel. "Lord Superman" was the first to fly into it, followed closely by the others.
"I thought we'd have a few fun days back here, but I didn't expect we'd be busy so soon?"
Little Ivy said somewhat dejectedly, and Alice was also a little disappointed:
"I also want to visit your Gotham Forest. Harley Quinn from 'The Wither and Ash' told me that you built a huge, idyllic room in the forest."
Connors chuckled and squatted down, pinching each of their rosy cheeks:
"After this incident is over, I'll take you to Earth-3 for some fun. Now, let's go see how the 'Lord of Justice' saves the world."
The two "Poison Ivy Lolis" didn't throw a tantrum; instead, they obediently pulled on the hem of Connors' trench coat and entered the exploding tunnel together, then their eyes widened in surprise:
"???"
In front of them, seven children dressed in "Lord of Justice" battle suits were staring at each other.
Without Connors's various abilities to protect them, they were immediately assimilated by the magic on Earth Zero upon arrival, becoming their child versions.
