Chapter 254 Countdown
Chapter 254 Countdown
Chapter 254 Countdown
Connors, who possesses numerous methods of dimensional travel such as the "Omega Effect," "Mother Box," and "Vishanti White Magic," will not be inexplicably thrown into other universes or dimensions while still unaware of the specific events that have occurred.
The time when he was sent to the zombie universe by "The Observer" Reed was an exception. Connors himself planned to see the details of the zombie universe, watch the drama unfold, and take down "The Observer" Reed in the process.
He had a way to leave at any time, but he just didn't. The fact that he ran back to Earth to learn about weapons from "Batman" doesn't count.
Right now, Connors was enjoying a circus performance with a little girl named Ivy on either side, watching Harley Quinn and Harley with the red and black ponytail about to take the stage, when this incident suddenly happened.
Connors reacted almost the instant he was pulled into another dimension by that deep purple magical energy.
In his eyes, there are "Omega rays"; in his left hand, there is the "explosive channel" of the "Mother Box"; and in his right hand, he uses "Vishanti White Magic" to draw a "dimensional gate".
That wasn't the end of it. Connors also activated "mind transfer" on a mental level and amplified one of his rewards for being a bystander, applying it to all the methods he was currently using.
In order to escape the unknown dimension he was suddenly dragged into and return to the two loli versions of "Poison Ivy," Connors used almost every means of escape he could muster.
This caused him to cross dimensions too quickly, sometimes heading to the future and sometimes to prehistory. It was only with great difficulty that he finally located the correct timeline and returned to Ivy's side.
Where did you go?
We thought you didn't want us anymore.
As soon as Connors returned to Poison Ivy's side, the two little girls immediately pouted and said in a half-coquettish, half-complaining tone.
He quickly put one arm around each of them and coaxed them, saying:
"No way! I just don't know what happened that teleported me to another dimension. See, I came back to find you as soon as possible!"
Even though she's turned into a little girl and likes to act cute and charming from time to time, Poison Ivy isn't inherently an unreasonable person.
After being comforted by Connors, the two rosy-cheeked little ones immediately beamed with joy and said in sweet voices:
"Okay! Hurry up and hide us."
Ivy isn't a brat, and Connors doesn't need to worry about not knowing what the unexpected events are or having to appease them.
The two little ones even knew that Connors would be busy, and asked to enter the "Mystery House".
Connors didn't mince words and, with a thought, took the little girl back to the Mysterious House.
He was able to sense that the incident was caused by the magical side, either because he possessed the chaos magic that had penetrated "Scarlet Witch" Wanda's magic or the "Vishanti White Magic" that had penetrated "Doctor Strange's magic."
But before investigating the specific reasons why the incident occurred, Connors had another important matter to attend to:
Thousands upon thousands of nuclear warheads around the world are scheduled to launch in less than fourteen minutes.
Connors is not afraid of nuclear bombs, and he has the ability to destroy them all and send them into the depths of space before they explode.
But doing so would be wasteful, and Connors was not one to waste things; he had other uses for these nuclear bombs.
The other children in the circus were still crying and making a fuss, but Connors didn't pay attention to them. After all, so many children around the world had lost their parents in an instant, and he couldn't possibly take care of them all. Not all children were as cute as Ivy.
Leaving the circus, Connors dodged one burning or about-to-explode vehicle after another. His black smoke cape billowed in the wind, lifting his body into the air until he stood before the "Hellbat Armor."
This suit of armor only has basic auxiliary combat systems and emergency management systems, and does not have AI capable of operating the armor in combat on its own.
This is a measure that Batman insisted on in order to avoid something like the "Grid" growing inside Cyborg's body.
So, when thousands of nuclear missiles were about to be launched around the world, this armored vehicle could do nothing but hover in the air, connect to global satellites, and send the detected events to the Justice League Watchtower.
"Countdown: 12 minutes and 11 seconds—"
The Hellbat armor was obediently counting down when Connors used "polymer chain mimicry" to change its structure, turning it into a half-human, half-machine like "Steelbow".
He quickly read the situation information obtained from the armor's global survey and then returned to normal, flying towards Paradise Island.
The idea of "all adults in the world disappearing" is neither a huge nor a small matter, and Connors intends to examine its specific impact.
There's no need to go to heaven or hell, nor to search the world for magical superheroes and villains of all shapes and sizes.
All Connors needs to do is go to Paradise Island to see if the Amazons living there are still around, since these guys are all associated with mythology.
If even they couldn't escape this incident, then it means no one can escape it.
The "Dimensional Gate" in front of me grew larger and larger, shimmering with golden sparks as it spun. The other side of the gate led to Paradise Island.
Connors stepped inside and wandered around the not-so-large Paradise Island a few times, only to find that it was also deserted.
With the "Mind Transfer" ability activated instantly, Connors' figure was on Paradise Island one second and on Apokolips the next.
This place had already been blasted into dust by his sneeze, but Connors didn't come for Apokolips, but for its opposite, "New Genesis."
"New Genesis" was hanging peacefully in space. Connors brazenly used his "telepathy" to scan the area and, after confirming that there were no adult beings there, decisively left.
He went to Earth-3 again, and this time he received good news:
The place is peaceful and harmonious. The "Lords World" still uses the title of "Lord," but their behavior is no longer as cold as before. Instead, they have found a balance between rules, fairness, and morality.
"It seems the impact of this event is limited to the universe where Earth Zero is located, but its reach extends to the entire universe, making it a major event. I just wonder who initiated it?"
Connors pondered this question, then reopened the "Explosion Channel" and entered the zombie universe.
As mentioned earlier, DC and Marvel's timelines are not synchronized; a long time passes on the latter while only a short time passes on the former.
Doctor Strange the Dark is still locked in a fierce battle with Ultron, neither able to gain the upper hand, their various luminous energies and magic dazzlingly brilliant.
In contrast, the battle taking place not far away seemed rather unremarkable.
Having regained his sanity after eating Deadpool's butt meat, the "zombie Wolverine" is teaming up with Deadpool to fight the "Hulk" to the point of bloodshed.
"Fortunately, Scarlet Witch Wanda lost her mind and was taken into the Mystery House in a daze, otherwise things would have been even more chaotic..."
Connors muttered to himself, and just as he was about to call "Doctor Dark Strange" to take a trip to Earth Zero, he suddenly stopped.
He wondered, if Scarlet Witch Wanda's declaration "There are no more zombies in the world" killed all the infected, then what about this lively "zombie Wolverine"?
