Chapter 240 A Child Who Makes One Miss His Mother
Where did the robot get the child?
This is the thought of everyone, including "The Punisher".
However, everyone here is intelligent, especially the Punisher and Deadpool, who know that something is strange about Westminster.
But they didn't intend to cause trouble until they knew the real problem.
They didn't speak, and neither did Spider Gwen. She seemed to have no doubt about the fact that "the robot has a human child," and simply greeted Connors.
Connors ignored her, engrossed in his balloon magic performance. The magic was so effective that even Gwen, an observer, could see the children's adoring gazes.
"Since it's safe here, let's follow Vision."
Spider-Gwen suggested.
The Punisher and Deadpool remained noncommittal, but the Punisher gave Gwen a strange look.
He knows the abilities of "superheroes" inside and out. Even though he has never met Spider-Gwen, he can tell from her Spider-Suit and webs that her abilities are roughly the same as Spider-Man's.
But if Spider-Man were here, with his Spider-Sense, he might have noticed the strangeness of Westtown immediately. On the other hand, Spider-Gwen still seems like a naive and innocent girl.
The Punisher couldn't say much in front of Vision—he wasn't afraid to deal with Vision, but he needed to make a series of preparations.
He doesn't fight unprepared battles. The group headed back towards the center of Xijing Town, and the closer they got to the center, the more people there were dressed in strange costumes.
"What day is it today? — Hug, in the zombie world, days are meaningless, I didn't bother to remember."
Deadpool watched as a woman walked by, dressed in the same stage costume as the female lead from Nights of Cabiria.
"Illusion," he asked.
"Today is Halloween," Vision explained.
"Oh~" Deadpool once again mimicked the face of the Scream mask, then hurriedly ran away and plunged into a clothing store on the side of the road.
Vision retains his robot appearance, the Punisher wears a shirt with a white skull printed on it, and Spider-Gwen wears a battle suit.
The three of them walked through the town without looking out of place among the townspeople; on the contrary, many people mistook them for fellow Halloween enthusiasts.
Connors was playing with the children, and only Deadpool had a need for outlandish costumes.
A few minutes later, Deadpool walked out of the clothing store, wearing ordinary casual clothes, with only a few stitch-like decorations on his pockmarked face.
"What are you cosplaying as?"
Spider-Gwen asked curiously.
"Frankenstein's monster!" Deadpool said smugly, his face being the perfect cosplay of Frankenstein's monster.
The town is small; you can walk from one end to the other in just a few minutes.
Vision didn't lead the group to the town center for a Halloween party; instead, he took them back to his home.
"We're the first group you invited—well, 'superheroes'? I'm embarrassed to describe ourselves like that."
Gwen looked at the items displayed in the living room and said.
Vision did not speak.
The Punisher followed Spider-Gwen's gaze, his voice completely unwavering:
"Shang-Chi's rings, Cyclops' glasses, the Spectrum emblem, Wakanda's spear—"
With each name uttered, the Punisher took a step back until his back pressed against the person being called "Punished".
Only after the "Vision" closed the door did he cautiously speak:
"We weren't the first to arrive, were we?"
Deadpool wasn't worried at all and plopped down on the living room sofa:
"Is this your home? It looks like a private museum. I wonder if my weapons will be on display?"
"—Oh, when I teleported to Connors, my body was torn apart—I left all my weapons with Logan."
Then Deadpool turned his head to look at Gwen:
"Spider Girl, I thought you'd stay clueless forever. When did you realize this? And why did you follow me?"
The moment Connors stepped into Westview, he split into two: one playing with the children, and the other in Vision's house. Spider-Gwen muttered to herself.
"I'm so sorry, I really wish I hadn't found you."
Vision's body slowly floated up, and he looked at the Punisher, who was leaning against the door:
"The moment you stepped into this place, you entered the realm of 'Chaos Magic'—you cannot escape."
The Punisher tried to pull the doorknob, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't budge it.
"Where am I?"
Vision's body gradually transformed into a phantom state:
"trap."
Just then, Spider Gwen suddenly spoke:
"Mr. Vision, do you know why I asked to go back to find Connors, and why Deadpool needed to change clothes?"
"We're stalling for time, baby," Deadpool said to Vision.
"Delaying time? I understand your desire to survive, but—I'm sorry."
"You don't need to apologize, because you're about to rock the machine."
Spider-Gwen said that the Spider-Sense immediately went to its maximum, and the electromagnetic field instantly enveloped Vision.
"Connors! Whatever you're doing, hurry up! I can't hold on much longer!"
Gwen shouted at the air.
The moment Connors stepped into Westview Town, he habitually used his "telepathy" to thoroughly survey everything there.
It was somewhat different from what he had imagined, yet also somewhat the same:
Everyone in this town is a zombie, a walking corpse—including Vision's son.
The thriving scene here is a completely distorted version of reality.
The only living person besides Gwen and her group lives in the center of the town, and this person is the culprit who transformed Westview from a zombie-infested town into a mirage of peace and tranquility:
Wanda Django Maximoff, the actress who played Scarlet Witch.
As the saying goes, entering someone's garden makes you think of their melons, and playing with someone's child makes you think of their mother.
While "Kusama Man" was performing balloon magic for the children, Connors himself had already arrived beside "Scarlet Witch" Wanda.
She was the only living person in Xijing Town, and seemingly to celebrate the town's Fangsheng Festival, she specially wore a classic outfit from a comic book from the last century.
A red cape, a red headdress, red suspenders, red long gloves, and red boots.
The only white feature is the unfathomable cleavage of "Scarlet Witch" Wanda.
"Reality distortion," huh? I can too—
Connors reached out and embraced "Scarlet Witch," his own identity now twisted into that of Wanda's husband:
"Honey, let's make a baby."
"Reality Distortion" vs. "Reality Distortion" Wanda didn't notice anything wrong; she simply opened her arms and pressed Connors' face against her chest.
