Chapter 182 Zatana

Chapter 182 Zatana

"I always felt uneasy about doing this behind Diana's back."

Zatanna said quietly.

Connors also lowered his voice:

"There's no other way; letting her know would only put her in a dilemma."

In different worlds, beneath the same Paradise Island, at the entrance to the Gates of Hell, Connors and Zatanna, carrying the "Hellbat Armor," are preparing to enter.

They want the "Hellbat Armor" to have the ability to "freely enter and exit any enclosed world" and "hell lava".

Whether it's Connors or Zatanna, once they find the entrance to Hell, the mere gates of Hell will be utterly unable to stop them from achieving "Invisibility!"

As Zatanna cast her ironic spell, the two of them transformed into wisps of ethereal blue smoke and drifted into the gates of hell.

It was called hell, but in Connors' view, apart from the scorching air, the ashes everywhere, the howling winds, and the flames filling the sky, it wasn't anything special.

Connors even released the Mysterious House, turning the "black smoke" into wheels, while he and Zatanna sat on the sofa inside, controlling the Mysterious House as it roamed through Hell.

As for the various monsters in Hell whose skin was charred black and seemed to have been burned by flames, Connors ignored them completely.

Since the "black smoke" has no life, and the mysterious house is ever-changing, you can just run headlong into the monsters in hell.

"If it weren't for the severe air pollution in Hell, I would have liked to turn the Mysterious House into a convertible," Connors said to Zatanna, leaning back on the sofa.

Zatanna, who was holding a piece of fruit in both hands and munching on it like a hamster, said upon hearing this:

"Shouldn't we quietly and secretly sneak into hell? Wouldn't this be too conspicuous?"

"It's alright. I can use 'Teleportation' anytime I encounter danger," Connors reassured him. "It doesn't require any casting animation; I can cast it with a thought, which is much faster than your teleportation magic."

"Teleportation? What kind of magic is that?" Zatanna asked curiously.

She can also teleport without casting spells, similar to magic, but only within short distances.

To traverse space and achieve long-distance teleportation, she still needs "irony magic" to support her.

"I'd like to teach you, but I can't," Connors said honestly.

[Today's Gossip: Evil is Eternal]

[Reward for watching the drama: Telepathy]

[Teleportation: With a single thought, one can instantly disappear and reappear anywhere, provided the location is known and the corresponding image is in one's mind. It takes a certain amount of time after use before it can be used again.]

When Connors went to Heaven, he relied on the mirror of the Mystery House, and "Night Owl" returned to Earth in the same way.

But with "teleportation," Connors only needs to think about it to return directly from Hell to Earth.

"What a pity," Zatanna said with regret, continuing to nibble on her fruit.

"Your magic is sufficient for most situations, so there's no need for you to learn from me. Instead, I should be learning some magic from you," Connors said.

After Zatanna emerged from the Firestorm Matrix with the other superheroes, Connors kept looking for opportunities to be alone with her.

What I'm after is all the magic that Zatanna knows.

Connors, who possesses the ability of "magical affinity", does not need to rely on his brain to learn like ordinary people. He only needs to understand the magic user and he can learn the other party's ability.

"How should I teach you?" Zatanna asked, frowning.

She knows so much magic, while judging from Connors' usual behavior, he doesn't know any magic at all, so we'd have to teach him from scratch.

It's not that Zatanna is unwilling to teach, but rather that it would take too long; an ordinary person might never be able to learn it in their entire life.

"You just need to take it slow and steady, and I'll naturally learn magic," Connors said.

The "Black Smoke," which was running wildly and rampaging through hell, inevitably wobbled a bit as it carried the mysterious house on its back.

Fortunately, the various arrangements inside the Mysterious House are constrained by the house itself. Unless Poison Ivy directly destroys them like before, there will be no scene of tables and chairs bouncing around.

The others from the Mysterious House remained on Earth as a precaution, leaving only Connors and Zatanna.

Outside, monsters were chasing or being knocked away, but inside, it was a scene of spring.

Lady Shangdu is suited to white stockings, while Harley Quinn is suited to black stockings.

Zatanna, on the other hand, is better suited to fishnet stockings, whether they are one-piece or short.

Zatanna's plump thighs, encased in fishnet stockings, were now covered with red handprints and torn in several places, but she didn't care; she could just replace one pair if it was ruined.

As Zatanna's "magical affinity" ability manifests, Connors is gradually learning the magic she possesses.

He wasn't greedy; he only learned some functional magic to fill the gaps in his abilities.

Even so, the process of deciphering the magic lasted a full two hours.

This was not Connors' limit, but Zatanna's limit, and their destination on this journey to hell was the lava river in hell.

All Connors had to do was soak the "Hellbat Armor" in lava for a day and a night. As for the armor's ability to absorb lava, that had already been programmed on Earth, so he didn't need to worry about it.

What Zatanna did for the Hellbat Armor was to "grant it the ability to freely enter and exit any world," which also required a day and a night to complete.

Zatanna enlarged the Mysterious House, making it large enough to envelop a large section of the lava river, and then sat on the sofa, leisurely casting spells.

She needed to use gestures and language to cast spells, not to move around, and Connors took this opportunity to continue to understand her.

Hades, the god of the underworld, exists in the underworld of Earth III, but he seems to be absent from the underworld of this world, where there are only almost endless charred monsters.

To deal with these minor monsters, Connors simply released the "Fallen Warhorse," also known as "Black Smoke," letting it roam freely in Hell and devour the monsters along the way.

"Black Smoke" didn't hold back either. Since its shape could change at will, it simply transformed into a monster with a huge mouth all over its body, rolling and tumbling through hell.

Flames, lava, ash, monsters, "black smoke" eats whatever it catches, it's not picky at all.

Once Connors and Zatanna finished their work, "Black Smoke" rolled back in its huge black sphere form.

Since "mind transfer" requires a certain amount of time to be used again after each use, Connors decided to take this opportunity to test exactly how long this "certain amount of time" is.

After sending Zatanna back to the Mysterious House and retrieving the black smoke, Connors decisively activated "Mind Transfer".

The hellish winds and ashes barely touched Connors's body before he used a "little trick" to dodge them, his body vanishing in an instant, leaving only a dried-up lava river.

The next second, Connors had returned to Gotham City from the underworld.

Zatanna said she had other things to do and had to leave first, leaving Connors alone to hand over the "Hellbat Armor" to Batman and the others.

The Hellbat Armor is not yet fully completed; the Justice Society will need to solve the energy problem later.

But that wasn't Connors's concern. He simply tossed the armor on the ground and curiously peered at Batman, who was busy at work.

The reason for my curiosity is that, in addition to Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, and The Flash, there are two other people that Connors has never met before.

One is the "Eagle Woman" who wears an eagle-beak helmet and has wings on her back.

The other is Hal Jordan, the "Green Lantern" who was absent from the "Three-Body Problem" and "Eternal Evil" events!

They were whispering amongst themselves when Superman saw Connors and turned to introduce him:

"Outsider, let me introduce you. These two are Green Lantern from the Justice League, and Hawkgirl, a new member."

No sooner had he finished speaking than a head with graying temples popped out from the air beside him, looking at the Justice League and Connors with curious eyes.

That was Reed's head sticking out from Earth-3.
