Chapter 160 The Most Beautiful Girl

Chapter 160 The Most Beautiful Girl

Lex Luthor led Bizarro toward the port of Metropolis, while Connors flew in the other direction.

He was going to pick someone up—Harley Quinn, the "Withered Ashes," had left behind a mess with OMAC and the Suicide Squad in the Rocky Mountains and had come back on her own.

Harley is now inside the Mystery House, embracing Poison Ivy. The mesmerizing hill reappears, and the gap between them is wide enough for a child to pass through.

Connors wasn't a child, but he still went through out of curiosity and ended up with his head on the southern half of the four flat-topped mountains.

Poison Ivy is covered in the scent of plants and faint flowers, while Harley Quinn smells of earth – the dust she's picked up while running.

"Harley, you need to take a shower," Connors said, annoyed, after inhaling a noseful of dirt and grime from Harley.

"Hey sis, wanna go together?" Earth 3 Harley, having removed her "illusion magic" disguise, said to Earth 0 Harley, who had a red and black ponytail.

"I don't think I need it." Red and Black Harley tilted her head, sniffed herself, and refused.

But Blue Grey Harley clearly didn't take her refusal to heart.

Without saying a word, Blue Grey Harley grabbed Red and Black Harley and Connors by the hands, opened the door to a room, and went inside.

"Little Pa, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and turn this house into a bathroom!" Blue Grey Harley urged.

Connors: "...Oh."

With a thought, the Mysterious House changed according to Connors' wishes, transforming the empty room into one with warm water and a bathtub.

Red and Black Harley were still exclaiming in surprise at the changes in the room:

"That's amazing! How did this room manage to create a bathtub from scratch?"

"You're not going to take the postgraduate entrance exam, so why are you researching this?" Connors said.

The changes in the Mysterious House involve the realm of magic, and Connors cannot fully understand the principles behind them simply by deciphering Lady Shangdu's teachings.

It is estimated that Connors will only be able to understand her methods after the "Eternal Evil" event ends and Zatanna, the Justice League's first sorcerer, emerges from the Firestorm Matrix.

Pfft!

Blue-Grey Harley had no interest in studying the principles of the Mystery House; she didn't even take off her clothes before jumping straight into the bathtub.

It's called a bath, but it's actually more like a hot spring. Under the influence of magic, the surrounding walls gradually transform into landscapes such as artificial mountains and bonsai.

The rising steam shrouded Harley, the "Withered Ashes," who had jumped into the water first, in an unusually hazy state, making her difficult to see clearly. This didn't affect Connors much, but to "Atom," who was hiding in his clothes, Harley in the hot spring was already half-hidden, a state of utter confusion.

"Wow, I thought the time would be delayed, but it looks like I'll be able to taste what the 'Outsider' sausage tastes like today."

Harley, with her red and black ponytail, made a surprising remark. Already standing in the room, she didn't hesitate to leave, but instead imitated the blue and gray Harley.

She didn't jump in on the spot, but the effect was similar; she also fell into the warm water with a splash.

"Just finished working in Gotham Forest, and now you're going to start talking about the prettiest girl on the playground?" "Atomic Girl" said, using a phrase she'd learned from Connors.

"You're wrong. The two Harleys look exactly alike, only their skin color and body shape are slightly different," Connors corrected.

Harley, with her red and black ponytail, overheard this and glanced down at herself, retorting:

"You're wrong too, it's only 'slightly different'?"

She reached out and placed her hand on Blue Grey Harley's chest, then gestured to herself, saying in a rather comical tone:

"The difference is huge!"

"I'll find out how big it is once I try it," Connors said, and then jumped into the hot spring.

After parting ways with "Poison Ivy" Ivy, Connors bought some trinkets on his way to the Metropolis.

The shop was empty, but Connors still left money at the counter, not caring whether someone would steal it.

The little trinkets he bought were originally intended for Lady Shangdu, but now the two Harleys are using them first.

Both Blue-Grey Harley and Red-Black Harley have pigtails and wear blue and red headbands, one with cat ears and the other with rabbit ears.

They also wore chokers around their necks that matched the color of their headbands, which jingled as they moved.

Matching the headband in color were two fluffy tails inserted behind them.

Connors lay on a deckchair on the shore of the hot spring, holding two chains in his hands, the other end of which was tied to two collars that Harley wore around her neck.

"Should I meow?" Blue-Grey Harley wondered, touching the cat headband on her head.

"I want to know how a rabbit should sound," Red and Black Harley wagged her tail, deep in thought.

Looking at the two Harleys kneeling on the ground, Connors lit a cigarette, shook the chain in his hand, and before he could speak, "Atomic Girl" sitting on his shoulder spoke first:

Does it matter?

"That's not important. The collar suits Harley quite well, but the headband and tail are a bit redundant. Lady Utah would be more suitable," Connors said.

After discarding the cigarette butt, Connors unhooked the two Harleys' collars, removed their tails, and took off their headbands.

"You guys go ahead and play by yourselves, I'm going to continue teaming up with Luther."

"I want to go too!" Blue Grey Harley exclaimed anxiously; she could never stay still.

The same applies to Harley Quinn:

"Want to team up? Count me in."

Connors quickly refused:

"No way, if you two show up, I reckon 'Super Overlord' will hunt you down to the ends of the earth—I'm afraid you two will accidentally kill him."

Harleys: "...—Feeling wronged"

"But there's a place where I need you guys to cause some trouble." Connors couldn't bear to see the two Harleys putting on such a pitiful act. "Go to Central City, find the Rogues, and then follow a portion of their members to Gotham Forest."

Harleys: "Yay!"

With his black smoke cloak, Connors flew at incredible speed, delivering the two Harleys to Central City before returning to the port of Metropolis.

Lex Luthor was standing there, with Bizarro standing motionless behind him like a puppet.

The port had long been ravaged by earthquakes caused by abnormal tides brought about by the moon's movement, and had been reduced to ruins.

Atop the ruins, broken steel bars and electrical wires lay scattered, with a few withered wildflowers clinging to them.

Luther saw Connors suddenly appear beside him and slowly spoke:

"My mother used to plant sunflowers all over the garden; when she lived with my father, those flowers were her only hope."

"Like a superhero in people's hearts."

"Over the years I have been reminding the citizens of Metropolis, and even Superman himself, that over-reliance on Superman will not only stagnate humanity, but also make us completely unprepared."

"We have forgotten our own problems and instead placed our hopes on that devastating and dazzling figure in the sky. This is the reason for the destruction of the world."

"...Actually, the cause of all this is me, and the world hasn't been destroyed yet." Connors raised his hand to interrupt Luther.

Luther: "...—"

Bizarro also joined in the fun at this moment, handing Luther a withered wildflower:

"——"

Luther ignored Bizarro's flowers and looked at Connors:

"Outsiders, the criminal syndicate controls thousands of satellites, but there are others that are beyond their reach, and nobody knows of their existence."

"Lex Corporation has twenty-six satellites hidden among the asteroid belts, storing data that no one can access."

Including steel frames.

"No matter when, there should be at least one satellite that can directly observe the landmark. Now I need you to help me move the antenna station over and place it facing east."

Bizarro was still persistently offering flowers to Lex Luthor, while Connors stretched.

"Let Bizarro carry it; I'm not your laborer."

Lex Luthor looked at Bizarro with a helpless expression:

"Put the flowers down, then lift the antenna over."

"." Bizarro stretched the wildflowers out a little more towards Luther.

"Okay, okay," Luther said, taking the wildflowers. "Thank you."

He rubbed his shiny forehead, feeling a slight headache.

"The world's smartest people are actually working with this half-finished product."

But before he could finish speaking, Luther saw that after Bizarro handed him the wildflowers, he had obediently come to the antenna, held it up, and flown over.

"Haha, good boy, place it facing east, which is the direction I'm standing in right now—"

"That's great."

Luther praised Bizarro lavishly, then squatted down and began fiddling with the antenna:

"Once I turn on the antenna, I'm in constant danger of being discovered. Outsider, you absolutely have to keep an eye on my surroundings for me now."

"Don't worry," Connors said. "But the last person who thought he was the smartest in the world was driven insane by me. I hope you won't end up like him."

He was referring to the "Riddler" from Earth-3.

"I have successfully connected to the satellite and am now locking onto the leader of the 'Criminal Syndicate'—" Luther said.

Then he saw "Superpower" punch through "Metalman's" chest and dig out his kryptonite heart.

In the subsequent footage, Luther sees the Superpower circling in the sky instead of flying straight toward his destination. "The Superpower's flight path remained in the shadow of the eclipse, avoiding the sun."

"He's afraid of the sun, so I'll have to go to Wayne Enterprises."

"Don't rush off," Connors said. "Don't you want your teammates anymore?"

"I seem to remember you mentioning that my teammates came from the sea?" Luther said, before Bizarro gave the order, "Kid,

"Stir up the seawater for me."

Bizarro opened his mouth wide and unleashed a burst of flames towards the sea off the metropolis.

Luther frowned and shouted:

"Stop! I told you to stir up the sea, not to set it on fire—"

After being spit fire by Bizarro, some fish floated to the surface of the sea with their bellies up, and there was even a big black head among them.

"Black Bat? — And Black Adam," Luther said, looking at the black bat emerging from the sea.

Black Bat held a trident in one hand and dragged the unconscious Black Adam with the other. After getting ashore, he saw Connors was also there and simply threw Black Adam on the ground.

Luther glanced at Black Adam, whose jaw had been crushed and who was now unconscious, and asked Connors:

"Is this the helper you found for me?"

Connors: "—Shh, are you starting to complain?"
