Chapter 134 Blown Up to the Sky

Chapter 134 Exploding into the Sky (Bonus Chapter 3 for casual readers)

"I swear I aimed at the mad doctor, and I used only a regular arrow."

Seeing the flames that ignited on Cyborg's body, Green Arrow, though they extinguished because there wasn't much to burn on Cyborg's metal body, still said something in a panic.

"But you were actually aiming at Steelbone, and you were using an explosive arrow," Martian Manhunter corrected.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, "Dr. Mad" has distanced himself from the superheroes and is about to escape through the secret passage.

Meanwhile, still unwilling to give up, he held the coin and questioned Connors, the "outsider" on the other end:

"I did as you said! First, I concealed my identity to evade 'Cyborg's' investigation, then I deliberately leaked information so 'The Inquirer' could discover me!"

"Now you have to help me! For the sake of us both being from Earth-3!"

"The Justice League is here!"

"Dr. Madman" rushed to a corner where a loud rumbling sound was coming from, and then a red and blue figure burst through the soil and grabbed him.

The "mad doctor" was about to lose his mind:

"Oh crap! Superman's here too!"

"What did you do to me, you madman?!" Superman asked through gritted teeth, cold sweat still streaming down his face.

"I—I didn't do anything—"

In the end, Dr. Madness was just a minor character. He neither fought against the entire world like "Monster Thompson" nor outmaneuvered Batman like "The Riddler".

He didn't dare to breathe loudly in front of "Superman".

But after asking that question, "Superman" collapsed to the ground with a thud.

"The Mad Doctor" paused for a moment, then his stubborn, "Riddler" mindset took over, and he chuckled as he walked toward "Superman":

"I didn't do anything before—but it looks like I can do something now."

He grabbed Superman's head from the ground:

"Let me see what's going on in your head! Hahaha!"

"I see a farm, glasses, and what's this dog poop? Did you grow up on this planet?"

"Your name is Clark Kent."

"You! Aaaaaaah!"

"Dr. Madness" is grabbing "Superman's" head, while "Martian Manhunter's" tentacle-like hand is stabbing into his own head.

"You will forget about the information you've been spying on."

boom!

"Dr. Mad" released his grip on "Superman's" head, letting it hit the ground again. Superman seemed to regain his senses, looking blankly at Martian Manhunter.

"What are you doing to him?"

"To get the answer, I must enter his mind and see what he has done, even if it means tearing his twisted head to pieces!" Martian Manhunter's face hardened.

Other superheroes also rushed over to watch what "Mars Manhunter" was doing.

"His spirit is strong, Martian Manhunter," Superman said weakly.

Martian Manhunter plunged all five of his fingers into the madman's head and said to Superman:

"I've questioned thousands of heads, Superman. Doctor Strange's telepathy might be powerful, but it doesn't work on me. He's not 'Monster Thompson'—"

"No, wait, this is 'Monster Thompson'! Only it's mixed with something else—Goldbach's Conjecture? The Mad Doctor researches this?"

Martian Manhunter was about to examine Dr. Madman's memories further when Superman interrupted him, looking haggard:

"Did the mad doctor make me a murderer?"

"Mars Manhunter" first carefully examined "Dr. Madman's" chaotic memories, his brow furrowing deeper and deeper, but he still decided to deal with the task at hand:

"What are you doing in Kandak?"

The "mad doctor" under his control had his eyes rolled back and his consciousness was empty.

"The Super Villain Secret Society sent me there—"

"What did you do to Superman?"

"He did nothing—he told me to go there, prepared four test subjects for me, and told me to wait for orders—but there were no further orders."

"You didn't control Superman's mind? You didn't make him kill Doctor Light?"

"I didn't—bullshit, I didn't even know you guys were in Kandak!"

"Mars Manhunter" threw the mad doctor to the ground and sighed, saying:

"The Mad Doctor is telling the truth."

"Green Arrow" couldn't take it anymore:

"So all he knows is dog poop? What's going on, 'Questioner'? You said it was the mad doctor who did it."

The questioner's face was expressionless—he didn't even have a face:

"The question that first came to my mind didn't have a straightforward answer, Green Arrow. Dr. Madman may not be the direct culprit, but he pointed us in the right direction."

"He said he was sent by an organization called the 'Super Villain Secret Society'."

"What is the Secret Society?" Superman was already quite weak.

"The Mad Doctor," after being thrown to the ground by "Mars Manhunter," couldn't get up for a long time. He simply gave up, lying on the ground and grinning:

"Just a united organization, Superman. The Secret Society was founded on the same day as the Justice League of America."

Their goal is to fight against the Justice League.

"What?" *4

"Dr. Madness" was extremely satisfied with the group of superheroes' bewildered and shocked expressions.

"The Outsider created two organizations, one good and one evil, and every member of the Justice League of America was specially recruited to attack one of the Justice Leagues—."

"One of you is even a spy who has been monitoring the Justice League—Amanda of the government chose to cooperate with the 'Outsider' for the same purpose."

"Mars Hunter" looked down blankly at the mad doctor:

"Outsider Connors established the 'Supervillain Secret Society'? What is his purpose?"

Cyborg looked at Green Arrow, who had just been shot by him:

"You've been united to resist us?"

"Green Arrow" quickly waved its hand:

"We know nothing about this, Cyborg! We have no idea about this!"

"But some of you know that," Superman said, looking at Martian Manhunter.

"I have my reasons, just as I had my reasons for leaving the Justice League," Martian Manhunter said. "Everything I did was for this planet and its people."

"Where are the outsiders?" Martian Manhunter asked Cyborg.

"Steel Bones" shook his head weakly:

"I can't find any information about him. Even if he walks past the surveillance cameras, I can't get any information—it's like he's a tightly locked safe."

"But we can find Amanda. Everything that's happening right now is related to her. She wants to replace the Justice League."

"Then let's go find her first," Superman said. "Right away."

Superman is too weak to fly, so Cyborg carries him. The group rushes here and then back to the "Sky Eye Society's" medical center.

Amidst the uproar surrounding the "Giant Woman," Connors said to her:

"Superman and the others have returned to the Sky Eye Society. It's time to detonate Dr. Light."

Amidst a deafening explosion, the entire medical center was sent into the sky—along with the superheroes.
