Chapter 101 Dihua Batman
Chapter 101 Dihua Batman
Chapter 101 Dihua Batman
"Although you summoned these alien creatures, you also discovered anomalies hidden within human society."
Batman refers to the white Martians who disguise themselves as World Council officials.
"Connors, can I trust you?" Lord Wayne asked.
He had already tampered with the red crystal he had taken from the alien factory and was now planning to head to the factory where Superman and Aquaman were trapped.
"No," Connors said, slurping his coffee.
Alfred, the butler, stood by and watched Connors, ultimately suppressing the urge to take the coffee back.
"Young Master Patterson, I should now call you Mr. Outsider. Although you have successfully exposed the hidden dangers within humanity, one person's strength is limited. Perhaps you should consider cooperating with Young Master Wayne."
Although Alfred knew that the two men had fought just a few hours earlier, this did not hinder their subsequent cooperation.
Just like Batman said, if Connors hadn't suddenly activated the White Martian device, and waited until everyone was ready to face them...
It is likely that the white Martians hiding in human society have completely infiltrated the world's military systems. When that happens, if thousands of nuclear missiles are launched simultaneously, humanity will be wiped out, if not killed.
So Connors's casual observation of the situation was interpreted in a different light by Alfred and Batman, a kind of distorted meaning that even Connors himself hadn't anticipated.
But Connors wasn't there to cooperate; he had other motives:
"A spaceship just like the one used by the white Martians is coming from the sky. After you're done rescuing Superman, remember to stay away from me."
He came to warn Batman.
"Why?" Batman asked, confused. "You have designs on that spaceship?"
Indeed, there was an ulterior motive. Connors estimated that even if all the alien factories on Earth were fed to the black smoke, it wouldn't be enough to support its growth.
He wanted to wipe out that spaceship, along with all the white Martians inside, and feed the entire race to the black smoke.
"That's right, that spaceship is already mine. I'll make a big commotion, so remember to stay far away."
Superman, Aquaman, and Diana all possess physical abilities far exceeding those of Batman at his peak, so Connors isn't too worried about them getting injured.
But Batman's spine has not healed since Bane broke it, and Connors is worried that if the bat tries to hide in the shadows and observe him, he might accidentally injure him.
Batman didn't speak, but Alfred silently shook his head. The old butler naturally knew that Connors' physical abilities were only at the peak of human potential, just like Bruce's.
He couldn't understand how much of a commotion a mortal who had been confirmed to be unable to use magic could cause.
Connors didn't need to explain to the old butler, and after finishing speaking, he shamelessly added:
"I came here firstly to give you a heads-up, and secondly because I'm hungry. Could you treat me to a meal?"
He needs to replenish his physical strength for the subsequent operations.
Batman: "—Alfred, please bring me the concentrated food prepared for The Flash."
In Metropolis, the last remaining operational White Martian factory was billowing with thick smoke.
"We must save him, if he's still alive," Hal Jordan said to John Jones.
"Mars Manhunter" John Jones nodded:
"Yes, he is still alive, but his condition seems off. We must act immediately; imperial power is imminent."
"The Flash" Barry asked in confusion:
"Imperial power? Who is it?"
"The highest wisdom in controlling aggressors—I've met him before," John Jones said.
With the suspicious Batman absent, "The Flash" Barry took over as Wayne's mouthpiece, asking Diana, who was leaning on her greatsword, a question:
"Can we trust this alien?"
"We have no other choice," Diana said.
Unlike others, Wonder Woman Diana firmly believed that Connors was up to something. Rather than saying she trusted Martian Manhunter, it's more accurate to say she chose to trust Connors.
It was Connors who arranged for her to team up with "Mars Manhunter" John Jones.
Now is not the time for discussion; Hal, the Green Lantern, quickly devised a plan:
"Okay, let's go. Flash, you go create some noise, a feint. Diana, you cover me."
"This time, I, Hal, will lead the team. Watch closely!"
Barry rushed towards the factory first, Diana rode on the Gargoyle, while Hal and John Jones took to the skies.
Three bio-weapons were patrolling near the alien factory. Barry picked up a rock from the ground and threw it at them.
"Hey! Come and chase me!"
A bio-weapon with a massive head and slender three legs fired a beam of light, which Barry easily dodged.
"Not nearly as good! (Yawns) Hurry up, why are you so slow?"
Dodging another salvo, Barry flashed to the foot of the bio-weapon, placed one hand on it, and then remained still while his palm vibrated at an extremely fast frequency.
With a crash, one of the bio-weapons' legs was broken, and it fell heavily to the ground.
Barry replicated the process with the other bio-weapons, knocking them down before quickly catching up with the people who had entered the factory.
"Mars Hunter" John Jones led the others to a corner, looked ahead at the several white Martians, and gestured:
"Stop, I'll handle this."
After speaking, his body began to transform, turning into the appearance of a white Martian. He walked out around the corner, ambushed and killed the several Martians from behind, and then waved to the crowd:
"Come with me."
The factory was a maze of twists and turns. John Jones stopped in front of a plastic wall.
"I can sense that they are behind this wall."
Barry stepped forward and knocked, attempting to pass through in a state of "molecular resonance," but failed.
Diana punched the wall, but it only dented slightly and bounced back immediately.
"Step back, let me do it." Hal pushed through the crowd and stepped forward.
The green light ring unleashed a laser beam that sliced a circle through the gelatinous wall at a moderate speed.
Hal clapped his hands with a slightly showy air, but no one paid him any attention; they all turned to look behind the wall.
"Superman" Clark and "Aquaman" Arthur are trapped upside down in a network of pipes, their hands and feet bound.
The two people had their eyes closed, their fate unknown.
A group of people quickly passed through the round hole and came to the side of the two people hanging upside down, but "Mars Manhunter" John Jones's expression suddenly changed:
"No, something's not right."
But it was too late for him to speak; the wall behind him that had been cut open was restored once again, and a large amount of yellowish-brown gas poured into the space.
Barry, Diana, Hal, and John Jones fell one after another, while Superman and Aquaman, who had been trapped, were freed.
I opened my eyes and landed on the ground.
Their bodies changed rapidly, transforming from humans into the appearance of white Martians.
"%@," one of the white Martians said.
Connors, who had transformed from Superman into a white Martian, opened his mouth. He had only changed his appearance to these monsters; his language was different, so he had to repeat what the other person had said:
"%@"
