Chapter 518: E
Chapter 518: E
Dawn had just tracked down Trevor Hymn and he was raging to rush over and kill me, but his phone began to ring. This ring bought him back to the world of the sane. He found Hannah calling him so he quickly accepted it.He said, "Hello."
Hannah said a few things to him from the other side, and he replied, "I will be there in a bit. Don’t worry."
Then he picked up his feet and ran to the hospital. He was injured internally from the blast impact and now that he used the technique of blood tracking, the exhaustion was piling up on his body. However, Dawn did not stop or complain.
Jill was a person who worked for him, and he felt responsible for her dreadful condition. The explosion was the moment when Dawn truly embraced the mix of his two identities. He was a mortal but at the same time he was the Prince as well.
He ran all the way to the hospital and found the Hannah. The lady was surprised when she saw Dawn looking pale, however, before she could even ask what happened, Dawn cut her off, "What happened? Is Jill, okay?"
Hannah sighed and said, "The doctors have finished the surgery, and while she is safe for now. She has not shown any sign of waking up. They are not sure if she will make it. Also, her face, is disfigured, they cannot repair it."
Dawn wobbled to keep up to his feet and George hurriedly caught him. The elders were shocked to see him in this state. George helped Dawn sit down on the bench on the side and the latter said, "Take me to see her."
George shook his head, he could tell from Dawn’s voice that he was tired and needed rest. The next moment, Dawn raised his head and gazed him right in the eye. George was stunned for a second and then he nodded slowly.
Emile and Liza were busy dealing with the aftermath of the explosion, and communicating with the authorities for a rigorous investigation as well as calling over various media channels to not highlight the issue more than necessary lest it alerts the culprit.
Hannah was looking after the two girls they were completely shocked, and did not know what to do. At this moment, Hannah stepped forward and checked up with all of victims from time to time and apologized to them. The people obviously held the owner responsible. They wished to denounce them, but Liza very generously paid for their medical expenses. She even apologized to them. However, when they found that a college student was undergoing surgery at the moment, because she was critically injured. They found their injuries to be insignificant.
...
George supported Dawn to the ICU where Jill has been shifted. In the lobby there were not many people, and it was very quite, Dawn was leaning against George for support.
Dawn spotted a couple huddled together, the woman was sobbing, while the man was supporting her silently shedding tears. He whispered, "Her parents?"
George nodded as they approached the couple. The man sensed someone approach and quickly wiped away his tear, and looked at George. He asked, "Do you need something?"
George shook his head and said, "Don’t worry about us. Take care of Martha. Jill will be fine soon."
The man nodded and looked at Dawn. George said, "This is Dawn, he is the owner of the bomb blast and he was the one who discovered Jill first."
The man took a second to register him while his wife, Martha, raised her head while crying and said, "Are you the boss of the store? Tell me, why did my child had to suffer like that? What wrong did she commit? Why did you not save her?"
George was not surprised, it was normal for people to blame someone else when they can’t find a valid reason of something bad happening to them. However, what surprised him the most was that Dawn did not seem to effected by this. He replied, "Ma’am, I apologize to you, Jill was my responsibility but I failed to keep her safe. I beg you to be patient, I will do everything in my power to make things right."
Martha was taken aback, hearing these words, she looked at Dawn and found him to be a child that was not even as old as her own daughter. He looked so weak at this moment, but he was still telling her that he shoulders the responsibility of this event. The tears began trickling down once more.
Dawn looked at the man and asked, "Sir, may I please see Jill?"
The man nodded and did not say anything much. Dawn could tell that this guy was having a hard time controlling his emotions. He turned around and George led him inside the ward.
This ward was a two-patient room. Liza had insisted on getting this room for more quite and cleanliness. Dawn came inside the room and found a nurse checking Jill. She was also taking notes of her vitals.
When Dawn and George came in she wanted to stop them but when she looked at Dawn’s appearance she sighed and said, "Sir, make sure you finish things quickly. The patient is still critical and you mustn’t disturb her."
George nodded and helped Dawn sit down on the side stool. The young man placed his hand gently on the bruised palm of the injured girl laying before him. He said, "George, whatever you see now, I hope you keep it a secret."
The middle-aged man wanted to say something, when Dawn closed his eyes. The young man concentrated and created a thread of spirit energy from his spiritual energy and sent it inside Jill’s body. Earlier in the hotel he had created a few spiritual energy barriers around the important organs.
Now he used the thread of his spiritual energy to remove the barriers. These barriers were stopping Jill from feeling pain, but now that she was treated, Dawn thought that he should remove the barriers and let the pain wake her up. While it may seem cruel but if she did not wake up soon, her body functions will be effected.
The thread of spiritual energy was like a crystal glass substance that shone after condensing. George open his eyes wide, but he did not say anything. The treatment effect was quick, Jill began to murmur, but Dawn did not stop, he controlled the remnant spiritual energy inside her body to move towards her face.
He was going to repair her face too. Even in the upper realm women cared a lot for their faces, how can they not care about it in the lower realm. The spiritual energy moved through the blistering wounds and scar tissues. George opened his eyes wide in shock. He did not know what was going on but Dawn had told him to stay silent.
...
After a few minutes, George came out of the room, with Dawn leaning against him. The young man was so pale that his face seemed to be made of marble. He looked at Martha, and said, "Ma’am, your daughter is awake. If she complains that her face is itchy, then please tell her to wait for a few days before removing the bandage."
Martha did not register anything apart from the news that her daughter has come to be, and she rushed inside the room to check on her. Jill’s father heard everything and was perplexed to hear Dawn mention her face.
George said, "You heard him right, Daniel. Believe it when I say, Jill will be fine when those bandages come off."
Daniel finally could not stop his tears. He was afraid that when his daughter wakes up she would be very distraught to see her face damaged. He did not even ask how, because he knew George for a long time and this man did not joke about such things and neither did he believe in the concept of false hope.
George watched Daniel go inside and was about to tell Dawn that he was proud of him, when he suddenly sensed the weight on his shoulder increase. He turned slightly and saw that Dawn was losing consciousness and was about to fall down. He supported him and found that Dawn was bleeding from his nose.
He picked up the guy and moved to the emergency ward.
...
Liza, and Emile had just finished dealing with the media, and they were talking to Hannah and checking up on the people, when they saw George rushing over with Dawn in his arms.
They were all panicked and called a doctor to check on Dawn. The doctor checked him and said, "I do not understand, everything seems fine physically. It is probably exhaustion from the trouble."
The four elders were still not at ease, and they heard a calm wizened voice from the side, "To think he would go to this limit to save a subordinate."
Everyone turned around and found Clement standing behind them with Damien. Emile asked, "Uncle, do you know what happened?"
Clement nodded and said, "I know, but this situation cannot be pushed. He will recover on his own in a few days. Move him to a ward."
Liza nodded and they immediately began the process. Damien asked, "Grandpa, what is it? Is he hurt?"
Clement shook his head and said, "He is facing a legendary mental demon. No one can help him, he is on his own."
